It was a warm, sunny spring day. My entire family was over for some regular family function. This included my younger cousins Ryan and Mike. For some reason, Ryan ended up mowing my back lawn. The grass was particularly high, so it was probably taking him a while. There is currently a rather large deck in my backyard, covering most of the area between my house and my pool, but it wasn't there in the dream, since Ryan was mowing that spot.

Meanwhile, Mike and I ventured into the front yard, in the street. There was a tow truck parked on the side of the road, in front of my house. In tow was an old, beaten down car, devoid of hubcaps or paint. It was his car, even though he doesn't even have a driver's license right now. For reasons unknown, he decided that he absolutely despised it. So, we knocked it off the tow truck and into the road, and left it there. I glanced at my house, and in the living room window, I saw both our mothers sitting at the windowsill. Except, they were facing away from the window, instead of gazing outside. Along with them was my uncle (Mark), who was standing to their left. He was wearing sunglasses, and was watching us.

The two of us, and the now mangled car, were in plain sight, but something told me that he had not seen us yet. In response, we ran into my driveway to hide behind my rather large trailer, which I sold months ago, but was in the dream. We walked behind it, sneaking along toward the backyard where Ryan was still mowing. Mark came out and went inside the trailer. In response, I dove toward the side of the house, and began swimming through the air. I remained airborne for a few seconds, until I slowly and softly reached the ground, near the gate to my backyard. In the back, Ryan was still mowing, so I decided to help him. I picked up a rake and started raking the lawn free of all the excess grass that the mower cut, but didn't pick up.

Awake.

The craft landed on a patch of flat snow within sight range of what looked like a small hatch in the ground itself. It actually had some similarities in design to the lunar landing module. I saw the ship land from the third person, as if I was never actually inside it. But I was, and so were others, friends and unknowns. We opened up the hatch and there was a ladder, leading straight down through a dark tunnel, into the earth. But it wasn't Earth. This was another planet entirely. There was know way for me to have known this, but I did. The small passage opened up to reveal a huge underground city. The buildings were enormous, but not a single one had any lights on. There were no lights anywhere, but I could still see, like some invisible dim light on the cavern ceiling illuminated the entire city. Building architecture was uniformly gothic, although the buildings were much larger than anything that could have existed in medieval Europe. Sporadic buildings with large spires made the city look jagged as a whole, like a giant bed of spikes. There was one building, more of a citadel really, that was much taller than the rest.

It was warm, and nothing felt wrong about it, even though that's atypical of a sunless environment. Much warmer than the snow above. The group had just finished climbing down the ladder when something felt wrong, somehow. Someone called the ship and asked it to come back and pick us up. I asked how long it would take, and whoever was in charge said about a minute. In the dream, this seemed like a long time, although logically it would take much longer than that to climb back up. Nick and Colby, two of my friends from college, were there.

Nick said, "Yo, let's go check out Colby's place, in the meantime." He made no mention of which 'place' was Colby's, but I knew which one it was, and so did he. It was the tallest building. It was implied that we checked the place out, but this never even happened in the dream, as if I fast-forwarded past it.

When headed back to the ladder landing, the area was deserted. The rest of the team must have already gone topside and was probably waiting for us. A beautiful woman stepped out of the shadows, along with an animal shaped like a large dog. Although, it was far larger and more menacing than any dog that exists. Muscular, with thin fur, and wielding large claws, like a bear. It sprinted at me. Nick, Colby, and the woman faded from the dream as I turned to flee. I felt only one, primal urge: to escape. I ran for the ladder, but the creature was faster.

Awake, breathing heavy.
